Hockey Canada is the national governing body for hockey in Canada. It works with its 13 member branches and local minor hockey associations to grow the game.
History of Hockey Canada
Hockey Canada was formed in 1994 when the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) and the Canadian Women's Hockey Association (CWHL) merged. The CAHA had been the governing body for men's hockey in Canada since 1914, while the CWHL had been the governing body for women's hockey since 1994.

Hockey Canada's mission is to "lead, develop and promote the sport of hockey in Canada."
